A Man with a Work of Heart
Meet Artie Feinstein, Executive Recruiter, Talent Acquisition – Back in the 1990s Artie worked for Cardio Fitness Centers (an executive fitness center organization) and was recruited to co-chair a national event for the American Heart Association (AHA). With 90+ participating fitness centers and health clubs throughout the country – the facility Artie represented raised the most money in the country!
How Artie and the gang raised the money
Whenever a member made a donation we wrote their name on a handmade heart, cut out from plain old red construction paper, with a heart health fact from the AHA on the back. The idea went “viral” and we filled the walls! Now I see paper hearts hanging up all over Northwell Health and the entire country – it’s special for me to know I had a role in that initial effort.
I will continue to support the AHA and Northwell Health’s efforts in beating heart disease – anyway I can, says Artie.
In an effort to fund research for the American Heart Association, and support our Women’s Heart Program at Northwell’s Katz Women Center, Northwell Health teams have been busy raising money throughout the month of February. Whether it’s wearing jeans, forming a Walk, or hanging a few paper hearts, we are in this fight together!
